ABOUT THE OTTAWA/FRANKLIN COUNTY CORPORATE CHALLENGE

The Ottawa/Franklin County Corporate Challenge is an event that allows companies throughout Franklin County to interact with each other through a variety of sporting events throughout the entire year. Those involved will compete in a variety of events designed to be all inclusive for participants of all skill levels.

Put on by the Ottawa Recreation Commission, the philosophy of this event is to promote wellness in our community as the vision of the ORC is to get our community active and involved in balanced recreation programs and services.  The goal of this event is to offer something for everyone!

The 12 events are as follows: 5 vs 5 Basketball, Co-Ed Volleyball, Co-Ed Softball, Co-Ed Kickball, Co-Ed Dodgeball, Mixed Doubles Pickleball, Wii Bowling, Pumpkin Carving, Chili Cook-Off, Tug of War, Disc Golf, and a March Madness Bracket Challenge.  Companies must participate in 8 of 12 events in order to be eligible for the end of year championship.

Some of the benefits to the companies who will participate in the challenge are: improving employee morale, allowing employees to work together as a team outside of the workplace, building friendships and stronger work relationships, and allowing employees to network with employees from other Franklin County area businesses.  It also gives participants a reason to be active which leads to a healthier lifestyle!
